It’s time to confront the challenges facing the Democratic Party and our society. We’ve seen the harmful effects of Progressivism, Marxism, and Socialism (which I refer to as PMS) on our values, policies, and communities. It is unacceptable that our tax dollars continue to fund ideologies that weaken our freedoms and rights.
As a moderate, “classical liberal” Democrat, I’m calling for a decisive shift within our party—one that removes the PMS wing from our ranks. We can begin using the acronym PMS to describe this radical agenda, which has increasingly misused the label “progressive.” Clearly, this is not the vision that FDR once championed.
My experiences in the political landscape have shown me that the term “progressive” does not reflect progress. Instead, it has become synonymous with a dangerous, left-wing agenda that destabilizes our communities, undermines American values, and enforces policies that do much more harm than good.
From the streets of Seattle to the halls of government, PMS policies and programs are not working. Criminals are left unpunished, our public systems are overwhelmed, and vital services are neglected. This ideology is ineffective and unsustainable. It’s time for a shift. Let’s return to classical liberal values – individual liberty, limited government, accountable leadership, free markets, and the rule of law; Let’s support effective reform that improves lives, not empty activism.
We must act now to reassert the values that built this country: freedom, responsibility, and the pursuit of genuine progress. The time to stand against the PMS wing is now. Let’s unite and reclaim the direction of our party. Stay tuned.
